I recently mailed the owner of a photo.net to remove all my info and account from their servers after cancelling my sub. I was told that they don't do it, it is simply marked for deletion, but never removed. Think twice before posting anything online IMO.
REGARDLESS of what details about one are posted online, there is something different about faulty software that allows for direct access to a private channel of communication.
Threaten them with legal action... that will probably scare any american based company.
Facebook isn't about anonimity though?
At the same time, I think its silly posting your cellphone number and home address on the site.
Ignoring any assurances to the contrary . . . never post anything you wouldn't feel comfortable sharing with the whole world.
