My contract was cancelled in June this year after going 6 months over the 2 year period. My account was always up to date and I never gave any hassles other than the ones the device and signal gave me (Prime Unlimited).

Ive been calling and emailing for months to try get my deposit back. Each time I make contact, they say Im not on the system anymore and that they will call me back in a week and that it is being escalated. NOTHING ever happens. I have emailed CS retentions so many times. In the beginning a guy named Lennon was helpful and full of promises, but now that wont even respond to my emails.

Guys that have managed to overcome this problem please share with me what strategy I should or could take, please help me out Im desperate. If you have some special numbers to call of people who can actually affect anything or email addresses to people who have the power to do anything Id appreciate it greatly! Ive just run out of ideas. And I refuse to let them steal my money and do me in.

Any suggestions forumites?

Also still waiting for mine. Cancelled in August, first they gave me the whole "your deposit doesn't show up in the system" rigmarole but luckily I had Hugo email me a signed declaration that I had paid in a R1000 deposit which just wasn't reflecting on my statements

After a month or so of this runaround I "seem" to have gotten everything sorted, with an email from Neotel on the 3rd of November saying that my request has been submitted to Finance for approval. Still waiting to hear anything from them.
 
Neotel is seriously one of the worst service providers in SA if not the world.

Even on their business services you get substandard speeds (5mbps link running at 2.48mbps is acceptable for them) and when you speak to their call centre you can't understand half they are saying as they seem to be importing Indians who can barely speak English...

Pathetic to say the least.

I advise everyone to stay away.
 
Bandits

I cancelled 2 Internet packages with them in 2009 both costing R499.00 per month when I moved to an area that was outside their coverage area and opened an adsl account with another company.

I have just learnt (3 months ago) that despite not using those packages for 2 years they have continued to take the debit orders totally R25000,00.

I have battled for months. They are a disgrace to South Africa and in Europe where I live they would be shut down.

Keep away from these Bandits.
