Neotel fibre

Hello,

Can someone that has used Neotel fibre please write a short review of the product.
- Reliability
- Customer service
- Speed -> local and international
- Latency
- Peering with other local networks

We want to get 10MBit fibre for our business basically because of the symmetric up/download speed.
This would mean that many of our users can remote into work.

The problem is that they require a 3 year contract.

It's a best effort service and just because it's 10mbps doesn't mean you'll get that, but you'll still pay for it.

It runs on 4:1 ratio.

5mbps runs at 2.4mbps and they say this is acceptable as they only guarantee up to 1024kbps...this is absolutely bull crap.

Also, their support sucks as you can't understand a word they're saying (call centre is in India or something)

I wouldn't recommend them.
 
I would recommend them, as per Loopin posting a link to our thread: "Neotel NeoBroadband 5Mbps Fibre running at 50Mbps after hours".

We have a Cape Town based account manager, performance (local/international, HTTP, FTP, SSH etc.) is great and it's great value for (business) money spent.
