Well you can use it as a standard Wireless AP but really what its designed for is the business traveler or anyone for that matter requiring mobile internet access, a good example would be if you stayed in a hotel that didn’t have wireless internet access in the room only cable internet access, you’d be able to connect this device to the CAT5 cable point in the room and with no configuration it would transform the cable into a wireless internet link that could be shared amongst multiple users.

If you have an internet connection on your notebook via say a 3G modem, you could plug this into your notebook and then share that internet connection with other users.
