Which Graphics Card to buy ?

Hi

Can some one tell which graphics card is better , a Gecube x1600xt 256mb pci-e
or a xfx 7600 gt 256mb pci-e ?

I am a ATI fan ... I am very happy with my 1600 pro so i'd say go for the xt

Buy the 7600GT, the X1600 is not even a challenge but will cost you the same money.

Ahh, lets just scream random card models which we think is the best. Now lets look at the facts & $$$.

The 7600GT is faster than a 6800GT/GS which is similiar to performance of that X800XL.

The x1600XT is almost a year old but 7600 GT is quite new, so newer features, etc.

Not really. Actually X1600 has more features than 7600 (hdr+AA) but that's besides the point. Buy a 76 and be happy :)
 
7600 all the way....

but how much do you want to spend/can you spend.? PM me how much and i may get you n good deal...better then a 7600;)
 
7600gt!!!!

I'd say the 7600GT! ATI has some problems like power consumption and heat. I've always been a NVidia fan. Just got my 7900GT Extreme 3weeks ago and it flies! With a capitol Z :p

I'm just mesisn' 'rond man. Sorry, bad joke on my side.
But yes the ATI X1K series do support HDR and AA at the same time. Something no Nvidia gfx card can do at the momment. We'll have to wait a frw months for that to happen.
 
I would like to know if a 7600gt is significantly better than a 6800gs? I have seen reviews on the 7600gt and it doesn't look like you get a lot of extra performance. I currently have a 6800gs and it is pretty decent. I have seen you can get a XFX 7600gt XXX version for R1999 which is R300 less than i payed for my card. I have also noted though that it is only a 128bit card as apposed to mine which is 256bit.
 
a 7900Gt for +- R2500 is best buy, nothing beating it price or performance!
 
What are your other spec pupa? And what brand of 7900gt do you have and where did you buy it?

XFX 7900gt I bought two, stored still in boxes waiting for new Motherboards and core2 chips to come soon. I have another on order for next week from Apoc, paid a small deposit!

OK, so which brand is best for a graphics card? I heard Leadtek's cards are good. Bought me a Leadtek, but I'm still not sure if it was the best brand?
