IMHO it has gotten worse. Only radio has really improved. And by radio I mean 5FM. The rest is just as much tools for propaganda as they were 25 years ago.
 
I would also praise eNews Channel. It is the best news service in South Africa.

I wonder if the UK would enjoy watching what happens in South Africa?

So what classifies as good? SABC????? U work for sabc who doesnt tell people the truth?

Atleast etv and eNCA dont have to hold back on news.
 
To be honest, they provide a different view point to the state propaganda that is SABC.

I don't watch just eTV for the news, I watch both channels for a more balanced view point on each issue.

But, who ever said neutrality was ever possible.

Whatever eNCA's take is, they are doing a great job with their pacey 'on-the-coal-face' reporting. If anyone has a problem with their reporting - take them to court.

Congratulations and well done on your expansion to the UK eNCA!
 
The SABC and etv are no that different, it is just that the former is the worst of the two in its reporting.

The SABC is pro government while etv is more or less pro the DA and the other opposition parties. That is why I have since stopped watching news on either channel.

4 TV channels in the 80's compared to over 100 now?

TV is MUCH better than it was... DSTV is partly the reason.

5FM...you serious? And Algoa, Highveld, RSG and 702 are tools for propaganda?

Why must colonial oppression and apartheid be brought up during this supposed praising? Anyone with an inkling into PR and NLP realises that this was hardly praise, but rather a soap-box of more propaganda disguised as a favourable speech in e-news' direction...
