Hey guys, I just got my Virgin sim card today. I've downloaded all the GPRS and WAP settings and I can get the GPRS to work using the default browser, but I can't get any of my apps like Opera Mini and Mxit to work, has anyone managed to fix this problem? I understand it has to do with the default browser using WAP settings and the external apps using GPRS settings which are conflicting in some or other way... Anyway, I've set my settings to apply to all applications by default and still no lucj. Please help!

btw, I'm using a nokie 6230i.

Thanks!

how does changing the name affect anything? So instead of "Virgin Mobile" I call it "Vdata"?

go through your settings, there should a one called APN, perhaps under GPRS settings (it might currently have 'internet' as the value) and change the value to vdata

are you sure GPRS is actually working on the default browser? it might be cache. try to go to a page you have never visited.

mxit and opera works on my phone (6610i), so it has to be a config issue.

It's not cache. I've tested it, it is quite slow tho...

Anyway, I tried renaming 'internet' to 'vdata' it does nothing... This is pathetic.
