Thats just pure fraud by a public company. Speaks volumes about their integrity (or lack thereof). Should we actually be surprised by this action - I don't think so. Will ICASA do anything about this - I dont think so - Are we surprised by ICASA's action (or inaction) - I dont think so. - Enough waffle from me.

More and more little lies from them. With all the previous events in the making over the last 2 weeks, is this not showing us that telkom are truely lying and miss leading the country.
LOL! This sounds exactly like what a student would do, if your not in a mood to do assignment yourself you copy the original work and just change it a bit. The guy in charge was probably too lazy and decided to just copy and paste and change the data a bit.
These figures don't mean much anyway, even the first set was probably cooked.
So what action will be taken?
Surely this cant just be dismissed?
What value does access to this kind of information add to my life? None!!
Why the hell did ICASA not specifiy the:
1. Maximum packet loss
2. Minimum latency
3. Maximum jitter
and then instruct Telkom to comply...
Telkom can give whatever they want, even bad performance stats, just as long as they publish something every Q...What stupidity we have in ICASA.
The ICASA regulations are a waste of time!!!
This most certainly does nothing to build confidence in Telkom's integrity and shows an utter disregard for their stated mission of client focus. Until management at Telkom realise that the only way to achieve greatness is total honesty and tranparency our only hope seems to be in competition. My regret is that currently the available competition are not doing much better.
A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory
Maybe the network is just so damn rock solid that it gives EXACTLY the same results every time....

One day statistics...... Useless...... Unless they release it every day which they don't.
Naturally the Icasa regulation had more holes than a sponge, so Telkom nicely sidestepped this again.
SAT3 open ETA: June 2007,arrived: April 2008
SEACOM: ETA: June 2009,arrived: Sept 2009
EASSY: ETA 1H 2010
WACS: ETA Mid 2011
Doesn't the quote go, "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"?
Point is, isn't it possible that the employees in Telkom mistakenly used the march stats for the latest release, but then used the august stats for the march report?
I used to be conceited, but now I'm absolutely perfect.
My guess is they spent a day creating a few xsl files with different stats...
and some moron just published the same one as last time.
