40Mbps VDSL - ISPs respond

Internet Service Providers are working hard to ensure that their new 20Mbps and 40Mbps VDSL products are ready in early March

If the total cost is more than R400 (which it most certainly will be), then I can't afford it.

Why is Web Africa even responding in the same article as IS? Of course they don't know/don't have details. They're IS's bitches now!

Does anybody in the real South Africa actually have one of these VDSL connections?

Yes, I know of somebody in Pretoria that was on the trial. There aren't many people on it yet though because the product hasn't been released yet.

Kinda sucks that Telkom aren't sharing exchange info with the ISPs, looks like we are going to be stuck with the same exchnge contention lotto we have now:(

Maybe good from an ISP point of view... But Telkom hasn't said which sites will go live in March 2013

You can't afford R400 per month for teh internets? I feel sorry for you, bro. I was paying over R2500 per month for many years and now I am currently paying R600 - R1000 depending on usage and considering myself lucky.

ISP's doing the usual thing - waiting for first ISP to declare pricing.
