Accelerit ISP review

Many thanks. Are you abased in JHB?

Looking also for a trace from CPT. @AcceleritZa - What are your fees if i change from another ISP? I'm on Octotel.

Sorry just picking this up now. To switch from another network is R499 and you are good to go. Fairly quick also. For what ever reason I didn't get a notification when you sent this sorry for the late reply.

Hey.

I am looking to switch to Accelerit, but I want to use my own router so I can have control over it. Any suggestions for good fibre routers? Also @AcceleritZa do you guys have a usage protal where I would be able to see how much data I used and on what days at any given time?

Thank you.

what line speed?

@wingnut771 Yes Sir we do have a portal where you log tickets, pay invoices and track monthly usage. Once you sign up you get login details sent to you. Feel free for DM me your details. Thanks!

What does it say ?

TL;DR
1.8 - 14 working days SLA.
2.1 - Everything on the internet is against their t&c's.

Code:
...
1.8 Accelerit has a home service SLA of 14 working days for the resolution of reported service issues by it’s home users.
...
2.1 You must not use the Service to access Internet Services, or send or receive e-mails, which:
2.1.1 are defamatory, threatening, intimidatory or which could be classed as harassment;
2.1.2 contain obscene, profane or abusive language or material;
2.1.3 contain pornographic material (that is text, pictures, films, video clips of a sexually explicit or arousing nature);
...
2.1.7 are otherwise unlawful or inappropriate;
...
11.5 Cancellation of any prepaid offering with the first 3 month of initial commissioning of the service then the client will be liable to reimburse all applicable service commissioning and installation fees including but not limited to labour costs.
...
11.11 For fibre to the home services – In the event a subscriber has opted for a contract with Accelerit and they wish to terminate, the subscriber will be liable for any fees associated with the commissioning of the service including a R300.00 administration fee.

@AcceleritZa I am not trying to be funny, these are legitimate concerns that I have about the terms of service.

1.8 - Good on you for stating an SLA for a home service. So if I go down, you are committed to getting me back online in about 3 weeks. I assume it is normally quite a bit quicker?
2.1 - Where does this come from? Everything on the internet is inappropriate to someone out there.
11.5 - Is this your claw back clause? How do I get my hands on the estimated service commissioning and installation fees for my FNO so that I at least know what I am letting myself in for? Do you offset the "setup fee" paid on signup, against this or not?
11.11 - This clause is confusing. What contract are you guys referring to? Do you offer contracts on some network providers?

Oh, and you have a typo in your terms, right at the end of 4.1. I found a random digit "2" floating at the end of that paragraph.

I have also sent you a PM, @AcceleritZa, if you could have a look?

I'm also curious about this as I was actually considering trying Accelerit's service
