Sorry guys :(
We'll hopefully have this sorted out as soon as possible.

I got an sms from Afrihost.

Me too, luckily i'm not using my ADSL now because I'm at work , here we have a 200Mbps link to America(San Francisco) that connects to an ISP there, getting 150ms ping to america, oh the joy! :D

dammit. just got Ghost reocn future soldier and it needs to download update. not gonna happen at this speed :( want to plllaaaayy *tantrum*

Is everything impacted or is it like when SEACOM breaks you can buy 1GB of overpriced WA bandwidth and be fine?

Can anyone confirm if business accounts at the various ISPs have been impacted?

MWEB, Afrihost, WebAfrica? If they are impacted, then so much for the promise of redundancy and better uptime in exchange for more of our money.

Our Business accounts will see slight latency increases, however priority is given to Business accounts during times like these.
Impact should be absolutely minimal on the Business side.

Give a brother a VPN link to your office? :p Just want to use the gateway on your network....

Does the R69/GB WebAfrica accounts also have this problem? Need to know before I top-up in hopes of it working.

If I could I would've given it to you, but the IT guys here would automatically see if someone outside is connecting to the network.
They are really strict here with the internet, however I can still reach Porn site with ease.

Probably because secretly they want access to the porn themselves! :D

I got smart though, realised that one of my clients is on Mweb business - which apparently is working fine... so VPN'ed into their local branch and using their gateway now :p since I am their IT guy, I am pretty sure I wont mind...

I'm on IS and we're affected.
What happened to redundancy with all the cables now reaching our shores?
