Morning All: Maybe today is my day....we can but hope...

Collivery 12**** Status is : In branch - Prescheduled
Notice

Those of you that are expecting a delivery from Afrihost:

we have close to 10 000 of them to deliver by 6th September.
we have received nearly 2000 requests to change the delivery address.
we are experiencing serious delays/failures as a result of people not having their RICA docs ready.
We ask for your patience and understanding - your delivery will get to you before the 6th as originally promised.

Tracking my delivery, but the time to delivery gets longer and the distance of the courier to my address is changing all the time. I didn't get 24 hour notification that they were going to deliver today, and to be honest I can't be waiting at home all the time. I have to go and see customers to bring the bread on the table. (The time of delivery started being shown as 9:40 currently it is 10:50. (make that 10:54) and the courier looks like is driving away from my house (the distance is increasing)

Not really impressed. I wish i could just leave the copy of the id and proof of residence with the domestic worker, now I have to wait and can't go see clients losing income in the process (there goes the benefit of a good deal):mad:

leave you ID, copy of ID, and copy of proof of address with the domestic and that will be OK.

Oops time jumped to 12:54 suddenly:mad: Can someone from afrihost / colivery confirm if I just can leave my original id, copy and proof of residence with someone. As all documentation and communication received requires delivery in person not to a third party.

Apparently I was told they tried to deliver to my address, called collivery they said it is still scheduled, but realised I'm a bottleneck in the whole scenario too, my afrihost details contact number is so old I discarded the sim years ago, just updated it. :(

'In branch - Prescheduled' has been my status for the past week so I doubt they tried to deliver though.

They allowed one or two people to, but they aren't supposed to, according to RICA.

Requested delivery before 16:00 on 29 August
Estimated time of delivery is 14:13 on 30 August
Driver is currently 2.18 Km from delivery point.

He's been less than 5km from me since this time yesterday - at one stage he was 1.2km away. And the time keeps increasing - was originally estimated to be delivered by 13:30 yesterday. So same issue as everyone else is having.

I'm done for the day, I'm ready to go home and catch up on the sleep I lost from working until 3am this morning. I've called MDS, and their call centre dude said that they'll DEFINITELY be delivering today.

Question is - do I stay or do I go? After following this thread for a while, my gut says I should just go home.

I've phoned them 3 days in a row and EVERYDAY it was going to be delivered.

Pffftt. Mine is still saying
Status is : Delivery Driver Dispatched
Requested delivery before 16:00 on 26 August
Estimated time of delivery is 12:15 on 30 August
Driver is currently 2.79 Km from delivery point.

Its been chilling like that since Monday. Everyday starting at 7.5Km and at about 9AM it hits 2.79Km away and its ALWAYS 20mins away.

At one point a guy in the offices' said 0.015km away lol

I am staying hopeful it is today.

Dear diary, I am so excited. I collected my MiFi and sim from dispatch and am posting right now with my cell connected to the device :D

I finally got my device, after these guys dispatching a driver every single day (and going to the wrong address 3 days in a row). To the guys who haven't got their devices yet, best of luck. Collivery is the worst courier company i have come across.

I wouldn't base any decisions on their tracking tool - that thing is meaningless and utterly useless.

Yeah, I'm going home. I've emailed them again (although it's safe to assume they don't read emails either) telling them to call me when I'm next in line.

I also told them how to run their business - most people wouldn't mind if they said delivery will be next week or whatever, but it's the constant "it's gonna be here today" that's pissing everyone off.

I called Afrihost this morning to enquire about the billing and the Afrihost rep tells me that I will only be billed in Oct for the mobile account. Then I asked her if I find the mobile option not working out for me can I cancel at anytime and she replies yes anytime on the Afrihost client but you will then have to return the mifi device. I was excuse me return the mifi... mmm wasnt this free... anyways I ended the call and went to my email and went to look for the initial email that was sent, It looks like I was right according to the email. Can't believe they want to charge me if I cancel when they said you would get a free mifi. There was no term to getting the device or was there?
