Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

Found a new status on their website :

Status is : Delivery Failed

I am not surprised, especially after going to the wrong address three times in a row (my home address).

MDS is the worst courier company i have ever come across - i think the post office probably does better then them.

Our couriers picked up a HUGE load of deliveries for early delivery and we're going through them at a crazy rate. Remember the idea was to deliver SOME early, so that on the whole we'd meet Gian's promised deadline of 6 September. Some people are still going to be getting theirs on the 3rd or 4th, and people who ordered much later or had payment issues may get them later.

client zone still shows - Pending Dispatch 27-08-2013 10:03:14

The friends I referred got their devices before me and they live 8KM away

Guess this teaches us a valuable lesson. Never do nice things for other people :D

SMS's travel MUCH faster than mails. Some ISP like Google greylist you once you've sent like 1,000 mails and they start delaying mails. SMS carriers have no issues with bulk sms though :)
 
Just got it! This time for real-real. Will post some speed results in the other thread shortly :)

Okay explains the delay, I will keep an eye out for the mail.
 
Roflol - something odd going on at MDS. My friend never got the notification email from MDS before the delivery. Said email just came through ... 1 minute after the "Your Order has been delivered" email. :/
 
Received an email from Afrihost to verify if my address is correct if it's incorrect I should click on a button but unfortunately there is no button/link on email :) I will ignore the email as all details are correct..

Clientzone hasn't changed from pending dispatch as yet, hopefully tomorrow once the courier start collecting them on Friday/Saturday. Should reach me by Monday - Wednesday the latest..
 
DAY 30, it seems Collivery 1210*** Status is : Processing Order Is a thing that I will have see till Monday :(

@Afrihost, Guys thanks again for the great package. But please don't mind us we just like blowing of steam or raging when somebody gets something before us :D we are just programed like that only human. we are really not blaming you guys at all . WE just need a rant thread like this :P to let out our feelings
 
One thing that's probably been mentioned somewhere in this thread... Some of the couriers got lost, many times. The guy that delivered mine said he can't use a GPS while on a motorbike (and doesn't have one). As I was leaving the building, he's parked on the pavement, cellphone out, trying to find the next address. Which in the end just adds to the delay. Surely MDS can plan and equip their couriers better ?

When the guy was done with my delivery he asked me for the one street in the area and I sorted him out. Admittedly he did have a grotty street to find, but he knows the area pretty well.
 
Dear diary, it's starting to look bleak and those of us that remain seems to be losing all hope....

Dear diary. Today is the day that I'm fetching my Afrihost parcel from dispatch. Hopefully they don't send it for a third joy ride...
