RICA is somewhat bs anyway. YES its law but it does not work. why? Well when 8ta just started , I went out to buy a sim at PEP. The girl took my id and wap wap she said its done, I come home and use it for 3 months then I decide one day to top with my credit card. You can only do this by login with your ID number that was rica'ed with that sim. To my shock my login would not work..... I called 8ta they told me that my ID number is incorrect and they can't help me anymore.

Anyways so I kept loading airtime with my normal way of buying it, but as soon as telkom mobile came out I could now see the ID and the full name it was ricad on the website using (http://onnet.8ta.com/onnet/public/checkOnnet). I was upset the guy that it ricad to is a total stranger, I don't know him from anywhere. So my guess is the girl did not double check my name or ID when she entered it and now well that flaw in Rica. Still have the simcard should check the name and post it somewhere

Hold on - enough about the delivery, the poor guys are getting there. What is this that the call center told him he needed to return the mifi if he cancels? I was planning on dropping down to 1gb as 5 is overkill for my needs for this, but I did not see any mention of a return policy in the terms and conditions?

Exactly my point... according to this email

AFAIK Afrihost already responded to that and stated that if you cancel you still keep the device. I just can't believe that there exists scoundrels and pigs that would just do that just to save the R145 for 5GB of data. That means it was their intention all along and I would support Afrihost claiming the device back as that is just criminal and such a person is on the road and destined to bigger achievements in the Zuma [-](spear LOL at autocorrect)[/-]criminal sphere. If there are a valid reason to cancel it, it should be cush and just pure honesty of such a individual to offer the unit back and then if Afrihost wave the device he can feel content that he/she/it does not have inherited criminal tendencies. ;)

The last of last weeks preorders will be "leaving" Afrihost today. Hopefully yours will be among them.

I hope so with vigour and #Afrilove  My status still say that the unit is pending handover since the 26th.

It's a marketing budget, marketing is a hole where money gets burned.

Claiming devices back would not be the Afrihost way. Besides, once you've got a MiFi, what are you gonna do with it? Unless you;re using it as a paperweight or to spread thick jam on your sarmies, you still need data - we've still got the best deal in town by far. We did anticipate some cancellations in this vein, but happy to say that we were surprised that most people actually want the data, and the MiFi was just a really awesome bonus.
