Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

AfriMan,

If you share a house and don't have any utility bills in your name, what would be the course of action to take when the courier arrives?

You'll need to get a certified letter from the owner of the house stating that you are a resident, as well as a utility bill in their name, proving this is their residence.

Afriman, perhaps once the dust has settled a walkthrough on setting up the APN would be nice :)

We'll do one better! We're making a movie a about it. Sadly I have yet to be offered a role in one of our YouTube vids. I may just be too good looking and distract people from the subject (at least that's what Gian is telling me) ;)

A movie might be overdoing it :P my plan for this is to get the 5gigs onto my existing MTN contract and then use the mifi and SIM as my ADSL failover. Will this still be possible?

Also who do I need to contact about delivery? I'm going to be wandering the countryside during early sept so they are going to have trouble finding me then

No charge here either. Other people are telling me theirs are still showing TBA on the data package and device.

MTN's coverage map sucks ball. It's completely useless if you don't have a specific address.
You found one that actually finds something when you enter an address?

^^ I logged a call via ClientZone and they changed it for me. Quick & professional. :)
I was told "Order has already been placed therefore we are unable to make the changes."

I was told that that courier will be in contact via email to confirm details before dispatch and that one can reply to correct any errors/changes at that stage. :D

@Afriman - seems you missed my post earlier in the thread. Please read here and let me know.

Sorry, looks like your reply was lost in the madness yesterday. See below.

@Afriman - we had 15 people sign up for this deal at our company. They signed up in their own private capacities, and all put in their own private physical addresses. If possible, we'd like to make special arrangements for all 15 packages to be delivered to our company premises at the same time (with the users consent, of course). No doubt this will save you guys some dosh, and make it easy for us too. Will this be possible?

I'm sure it will be possible. When the couriers load their vans it's usually area specific in any case :) I think at this stage it'll be best to put together all of the accounts into one mail and shoot it off to our Support guys. We'll do our best to combine the devices so they all arrive as one happy family :)

I've heard that story before. Never happened. I now presume that there is some important prerequisite like hell freezing over or a US president telling the truth.

The simple thing would be to have the order displayed in ClientZone with all the details, and allow the customer to change it there.

For now, it's best to let the courier know once we mail you just before your order goes off to the courier, to change your delivery address there.
We are discussing alternatives though - we'll let you guys know once we've made a decision.

Good day

I trust you are well :)

Congratulations on being 1 of the first clients to sign up for our Mobile Data services :)
As for the delivery of the package, you will be contacted well before delivery from the courier company confirming your delivery address. Once that mail has been received and if
the details are incorrect, you can respond to them with correct instructions etc.
I hope this information serves you well.

Keep in mind that some of us entered our info under extremely high pressure/buzz/excitement/duress...hehe
An error could've slipped in quite easily.
