Afrihost MTN Fixed LTE-A Thread

Download being a touch too slow again today...

@AfriNatic
Still awaiting your update.

I had 23GB roll over daytime data which I could not use on 30th and nearly 60Gb night time ( although understandably that would have expired at midnight yesterday).

At the very least I would expect the GBs that I used yesterday to be reimbursed to this current month.

Clearly AH have not corrected their error automatically for their clients.
Nor has there been any apology or update since my post notifying you of the system wide problem yesterday morning.

Rather annoyed tbh. It doesn't look good.

Still waiting for any form of + feedback.
Not impressed at all with response to a simple request for AH to rectify their own error.

How long can it take to refund a customers data for Pete's sake.

Nothing wrong with MTN itself in my area, upload could be better.

Suspect it is area related.

Not sure if there is any significance to this but i noticed when trying to stream netflix or game im getting under 1mb speed currently on mtn yet when i go onto youtube and watch any video the speed picks up to 10mb still slower than my usual 50mb though.

All good now, thanks!

Okay great. These issues are usually due to some tower backhaul failure and should not last very long. MTN is usually aware of the issue long before we manage to log a fault with them so if it's an extended outage or slow speeds we can always just log a fault with MTN.

Hi,
Any chance you'll be able to speak to senior mtn staff regarding adding support for the B535 and b818 routers?
Thanks!

Morning,

This would need to be something I need to run up the channels to see when MTN plans on adding new devices to the supported list.

Rollover data - this time from Sept'20 - again depleted by Afrihost from their Client Zone, before the end of the following month (Oct'20), so by around midnight of the 30th Oct. I assume.
(I wasn't awake then to check the exact time).

This time I made sure to use up most of it, so only had around 600 - 700 MB remaining of Night-time data, and approx 1GB estimated of Anytime.

The thing to remember with this
- owing to the fact that Afri. didn't reimburse (me, at least) from last month, 5GB lost then on Anytime, from what I remember - is to count exactly 30 days ahead from the day after the rollover data disappears from the Client Zone.

Therefore, for next month, by my calcs., that'll take it to the 29th Nov. (from the 31st Oct. both dates inclusive) by when one must use up all of the previous month's rollover data, to avoid disappointment.

Seems that every month end, AH are now screwing up people's data.

My 45GB+ rollover night time data has disappeared when I checked this am

Clearly this has not been sorted.
It's now a monthly occurrence.

Took 10+ days of repeated emails , PM's to @AfriNatic and 2 calls to their support for them to sort it out last month

damn, that really sucks to hear :/
I just checked my rollover and the 80GB on my end for night time is still in tact. Hoping you get sorted properly!
