Try online for smart ID, collect at bank. Must pay with same bank you collect at.No, dont even have a temp or passport.

Update: Didnt go well.. i misplaced my ID book a while back.. and they refuse to use anything other than the orignal for RICA and acceptance. Oh well.
cancellation done
i was clrearly told that no 3rd party can do this? Can't you get somebody else staying with you who has a valid ID to receive and RICA the SIM? You just need to supply the details of the person who will be receiving the SIM in person when you order the package. I used this option myself.
- Only the RICA documentation of the person present can be accepted.
- If the person who ordered is not available, the person receiving the SIM Card needs to RICA on their behalf with THEIR OWN documents, i.e. the documents of the person who is receiving the SIM Card.

alright, when cancellation goes through will have to do it again i guess... surely they could have changed the info on the system for me will all the calls i made though?@ReeceDBN031: When you sign up for the package online there is an option to enter the details of the person who will be receiving the SIM card. Just type in the correct contact details for the person that will be receiving the SIM in person. This is what I did and everything worked exactly as expected.
You should receive a phone call from the courier company a day before they deliver the package to confirm a convenient time. Afrihost even SMS you to remind you that the package is coming at the specified time on the day of delivery. Just make sure that you have the originals and copies of both the ID and the proof of address documents of the person who will be receiving the SIM card (not yourself). Yes, the package was delivered within the specified two hour window - it was supposed to be delivered between 8-10AM and it was here by 9:30AM!
Delivery was due tomorrow morning, i cancalled as the details are for me i guess.@ReeceDBN031: If they approve your payment method then the RICA should not be a problem. Just make sure that you enter the details of the person who will be accepting the SIM correctly or you may have problems. They even check that the initials are correct on the proof of residence document. My rates bill does not have the correct initials and is usually rejected during the RICA process!
You can follow the progress of your order from the Afrihost ClientZone. Once the payment method is approved you may need to wait a few days until the order is packed. Then it moves to the collection stage and finally it gets delivered. The process took just over a week in my case - I ordered on a Tuesday Morning and I received it a week later on Wednesday morning.
too late now, i cancelled.@ReeceDBN031: Oh no you were so close to getting it! If you had entered different details when you ordered it you would already be online!
Did you ask the courier if they would allow you to change the details of the person receiving the package? When the driver arrives I think he is supposed to return with the documents of the person who is on his delivery list so he may not be allowed to accept different documents.
I'm confused, Did they arrive and then turn you down?Update: Didnt go well.. i misplaced my ID book a while back.. and they refuse to use anything other than the orignal for RICA and acceptance. Oh well.

HiI'm confused, Did they arrive and then turn you down?
That's really weird, I haven't had that with Afrihost, Telkom, MTN or RAIN, multiple timesHi
no, basically i got a call from courier. they gave me the usual story of what i require etc etc.
i stated i do not have an ID book. got a million stories back and forth from both Afri and Courier.
Soooo i eventually just cancelled, awaiting confirm then will re sign up with moms details for RICA
lol explain....?That's really weird, I haven't had that with Afrihost, Telkom, MTN or RAIN, multiple times![]()
I literally gave them all copies of my ID and it was fine. Telkom and RAIN delivered sims to me multiple times as well.lol explain....?
Thats what i even asked them dude.. I was like i have copies of the ID with me. They were adimant they want the original.I literally gave them all copies of my ID and it was fine. Telkom and RAIN delivered sims to me multiple times as well.
Yes i cant waaaaiiiiiittt.. just hope it all goes smoothly from here.@ReeceDBN031: I hope that you manage to cancel quickly and reorder successfully. If you specify that your mother will be receiving the SIM card when you reapply you shouldn't have problems. The courier should contact her then to arrange for the delivery.
I have been very happy so far with the Pure LTE service. If you have decent coverage and capacity in your area the 100+100GB package should be awesome!
