Afrihost negative feedback thread

Considering you think someone telling AH that they're taking us for fools is abusive, I'm not surprised this is how you feel about our posts.

Honestly, go have a look through WebAfrica, MWeb and especially OpenWeb's support threads and come back to tell me the AfriHost reps had it bad. I'm just curious why the courtesy of protection wasn't granted to any of those ISPs. All I'll say is that I hope these AfriHost reps never change jobs, because if this was too much for them, then hell. They wouldn't last a day working for my father. :D

out of interest sake, what would you think would happen, if you stood face to face with somebody, and called them a fool? do you think they would appreciate that?

On my side of the fence I see you as being concerned about Afrihost and the quality that they are dishing up.
 
Firstly it bothers me that someone gets told they are not allowed to complain in an ISP's thread - that means AH is either paying to not have any negativity or moaning like a little child. And then to have hints dropped about being banned for being an unhappy customer? Really? Just wow ......

I'm honestly fine with that. I've made my peace with the fact that MyBB's bottom line has shifted to the people who pay to advertise on here. What I want to know is why this courtesy was not applied to OpenWeb, Mweb or WebAfrica, despite all three of them advertising (or having advertised) here? And why are some members allowed to take free shots at users who complain about the company, but you get barred from the threads if you retaliate in kind? That AfriHost thread is filled with pro-AfriHost users attacking other people.

I wonder if I were to go into that thread right now and ask one of them if they're AfriHost employees (like Rickster accused me of being in the employ of an ISP), would I get banned?

Salt and tears were flowing freely from the AfriFans the last few days. That's precisely why this thread is here.

My guesss is that afrihost is probably the number one source or ad revenue, that coupled with the relationship mybb has with gian.

The folks who run this site would ban half the users in this forum in the blink of an eye if afrihost so wished it.

Mybb is a business after all. Its nothing personal (to them).

This guy is trying to tell u that's it not cool berating people. Even via forums, as u may not see it as insulting or hurtful, but it may have been perceived to be so by the reps.

He's also saying that he can understand ur frustration though, he knows ure angry.

Sure man... Im of the opinion, and this is purely my opinion. I know people are frustrated and angry, and you as a client should have every right to vent your anger. However, the reps are human after all, and its not a great feeling when they are just doing their jobs, and people are constantly just attacking them.

Be polite, and show that you are not happy, but be respectable about it. Why burn bridges, when tomorrow you might for some reason decide to return. Likewise, if you are not happy, and decide to leave, maybe indicate to the ISP that you are leaving, because they have not met the quality you expected from them, but that you hope that things go well for them.

We are all adults here, and we all trying to help each other out. Heck as an Afrihost client, ive on many occasions recommended Crystal Web to friends. Its somehow just the way we handle things.
 
What's funny/scary is now how MyBB is playing favourites.

First was pretending CW didn't exist and now banning negative feedback from a thread made for feedback...
