@AfriMan When are the CC payments meant to go off?
Not sure I understand. All monthly payments are debited on the 1st.
For pro-rata payments, credit cards are billed pretty much instantly.

Hear hear... Tell me about itus plebs in dbn can only dream.
Thanks bud appreciate it will have a look at this over the weekendThe 2 options to use instead of a Telkom landline phone are: voice over the cellphone network, or VOIP (over the internet). I looked at VOIP, but because it is quite a process and learning curve, and I already had 2 Cell C sims in cellphones, I went the route of Cell C All-Net voice calls. The Cell C plans are listed on the following web page, scroll down the page to see them: https://www.cellc.co.za/cellc/bundles-contract-detail/prepaid-voice-bundle I am trying out for the first time the option that is prepaid R200, 15 hours of calls, lasts 1 month. I am finding it excellent.
There are several VOIP providers, eg Vox, Mweb, Axxess, Switchtel, Freshphone. Telkom also offers VOIP for home on their website, but nobody there seems aware of it or can help you with it.
There is a lot of information on MyBroadband (news articles and forums) about alternatives to a Telkom Landline phone and an ADSL internet connection. Following is a partial list, in no particular order:

Good luck!

Hey Fjorko,@AfriMan
So....I sold my house and will be moving at the end of January. Can you please advise the best course of action
The buyers of my place wants to take over my Fibre Line, but at a lower speed than my current 200/100
Questions :
1. Does this mean i need to still pay the R999 as i will be "cancelling" within the 6 month grace period. But technically it will only be a downgrade and a transfer to a new owner
2. What is the best, most seamless process to follow to downgrade the line, and then just get everything moved to the new owners by the end of Jan 2020
Many Thanks
Hey Nimz,@AfriGuy / @AfriMan
I'll be moving to an estate that makes use of Balwin Fibre mid next year, just want to find out why your guys pricing is about R300 more than the competitors?
Link
I currently use you guys at 2 of my properties and would have liked to kept the 3rd with Afrihost but with the price difference it makes no sense (financially)
Nimz
OK thanks - At least I have more clarity on it now.Hey Fjorko,
1. So if the new owner is going to be with Afrihost, we can assist you in moving the service from your profile to theirs. That way there's no down time and no cancellation charges that need to occur. If you first want to cancel the service and have them re-activate it at their own time, then you'll incur the cancellation charge if its less than 6 months.
2. So yes the best would be having the new owners setup a profile with us already. And then from there, send us an email to [email protected] to help move the product to their profile.
Hey Nimz,
Which package were you hoping to take speed wise?
That is correct FjorkoOK thanks - At least I have more clarity on it now.
So when my line moves to them - my profile stays with you guys, but I will just have no active products with you until such time that i get fibre in my new place ?
