To discourage people from wanting to be at the top of the list. Uncapped fibre only works because people don't actually use as much as they think...
We're definitely not concerned about how much people use - we've planned for that extra capacity and we're still far from hitting our limits.
To be honest, we just haven't had time to think about it. Since we launched Pure Fibre, we've launched multiple LTE products, and that's taken all our focus. When we have a quiet moment, we'll definitely think it over.
In general the economics of uncapped depend on people not maxing their lines 24/7 - I'm not saying Afrihost is overselling their network or anything of the sort, I'm just pointing out that in general ISPs plan costing on average use and introducing a leaderboard encourages people to try to compete to see who can waste the most bandwidth.

@AfriMan When will you guys start selling Voip for home users, as Telkom cut our Adsl lines and they gave us these crappy phones that works of their sim card and locked to a 3g connection. Those drop calls and delay is just madness.
Can anyone suggest reasonable pricing for VOIP home users and some links to the website as I was looking at Vox uncapped VOIP calls for R350pm.
So its worth it to take it out with Vox then, I also seen you can make calls with their App which quiet coolI have that service at home - it's been pretty reliable for me. I also didn't realise you can take your number with you - which might be handy for going on holiday, etc. Just wish their was a more portable handset.

I refuse to follow that link on the grounds that it may incriminate me.
