CISP released my line on schedule this morning. Got a call from Octotel a short while later informing me the migration would be done soon, then went offline. Had a bit of a tough time getting some mobile data on Vodacom to contact support etc, who told me AH was using DHCP instead of PPPOE, then had someone arrive so everything was delayed, but once I sat down again, AH had grabbed the line, gave me the activation link, I filled in the OTP and blammo.
And ho-lee-sh*t.
That is to London. I have never seen it that high - and when I questioned it with CISP, they assured me it was packet loss and there was nothing they could do. Local speedtest is full 200/200. NNTP is just below line speed (21-22MB/sec) where again, I was barely managing 10.8MB/sec on CISP which I was assured was packet loss / the NNTP server / basically anything but CISP.
It's early days, but so far, I am highly impressed.
