I think @AfriMan may still be on study sabbatical, so I'm posting here for @AfriFella or whoever may see it. I was under the impression migrations were 3 months free, plus credit on any cancellation/migration costs.

I emailed accounts@afrihost the invoice for my cancellation period at CISP, and got this response:

Is AH not doing the credit anymore? Would be a little misleading if so.

They still do the credit as it is still on the website. If they don't then yeah agree it's misleading. There are quite a few people that got the credit myself included and @sand_man and a couple others too. Maybe email Afriman the invoice and ask him to forward the invoice to Wendy so she can credit the cancellation fee. Wendy was a star and sorted me out. Email [email protected]

Can I send it while I'm waiting for ah to complete migration?

You are right about that cavedog
if you send an email to [email protected] with the cancellation invoice and the proof of payment, we'll do the rest. :giggle:

Any update as to whether I will be connected tonight.. Holding thumbs or will it be tomorrow

Taking way to long actually or maybe I was just spoiled with Openserve zero downtime with my migration from Supersonic > Afrihost Pure Fibre.

I understand what you mean. It takes a couple of hours to process the migration. it's not likely that this will be completed tonight but I will do whatever it takes to get you connected tomorrow, is that alright?

That's taking helluva long! I had about 2 hours downtime if that... Vumatel aerial Home-connect to Afrihost...
2 hours?

I've been waiting the whole day, also on vuma aerial. Some guys are extra special :p

I'm talking about the ISP side
Nah - its all electronic these days - they can activate you on in a matter of minutes - just depends who helps you on the day

@AfriFella - get Stormersfan connected ! After all he supports the right team !!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I am working on getting him connected. they were a few glitches that we have resolved which caused a delay.

The only provider who is taking a little longer is Vuma because they have a manual process. Openserve has automated everything to eliminate downtime.
