So in Windows you need to run ping -n50 <ip> to send 50 packets.

When connected to the ONT direct run ipconfig and note down the gateway and do the same to the gateway.

That is not good when you have packet loss to the gateway.

@AfriNatic should log with the fibre provider or NOC to investigate this.

Just provide a traceroute to the same IP?

I am on AH PureFibre with Octotel
I am in the Kraaifotein area, WC.

Is anyone experiencing the constant issue whereby the internet dies multiple times a day and the only way to get it back it to reboot the router a couple of times?

What could be the issue here?

Sorry for the delay. The outage is still ongoing unfortunately and Openserve have techs on site.
This seems like a major outage and I'm afraid I don't have much info on it.

- costs:
-- ofc @ R828 (on sa's best fno)
-- leaves R289 for:
--- support/retentions expense
--- the actual internet part
--- margin
(ignoring the sign-up incentives completely, those might go away soon)

Is there a problem with Vumatel in East London (Beacon Bay) - connection dropped about 20 minutes ago. Have restarted ONT and router and my Asus router gives a " your ISP's DHCP does not function properly " error

Hey all. Is there some sort of weird outage at the moment. I cannot access certain services like discord, mybroadband, escape from tarkov servers. Yet YouTube, twitch etc is perfectly fine. Typing this message from my phone on MTN and the services are fine there.
