Morning Guys!

There could be an issue in the South that's causing slow or intermittent connectivity for our DSL Clients, our Team is working with upstream providers to resolve it as quickly as possible. We've updated the Network Status page to reflect this.

Good to know, thanks.

Thanks for the update. I was just starting to wonder what is happening.

Thanks for the update. Did a speed test earlier and only managed to pull 86Kbps on my 20MB line, so I checked the site immediately. Any idea what the problem is?

Not only the South. East as well. Pretty sure I'm not supposed to be getting 300ms to the UK.

So for the first time in months probably I can now watch 1080p at 60fps on youtube, the trick? Switch to a different ISP, consider my cancellation in, ignoring the current network issue, I am going on my experience before today, miles and miles ahead, paying a premium for business uncapped? I feel like a fool for letting it carry on for so long, I should kick myself. P2p, steam, browsing are all beyond anything "premium business uncapped" has given me for months. Maybe one day Afrihost will come back to the party but until then, no thanks.

It looks like a break somewhere. :( The moment I have a better idea I'll let you guys know.

Mind dropping me a pm - would love to know which ISP you changed to.

Thanks

What is strange is that my Home Premium Uncapped account is running at full throttle (This morning before work and the same at the moment), whilst we experienced severe issues all day long on the Business Premium Uncapped account at work.

That does seem strange... The issue was rectified around 3PM, though, so it might be slightly coincidental. :)

Afternoon it looks like there has been a drop in capacity in the East. You may be seeing poor speeds and latency for the moment. I've also made sure that there is a Notice on our site.

Pathetic once again in Cape Town, can't even stream youtube at 144p, how many more network issues do you guys plan on having this month? Can I get a refund?

Good luck with that refund! I've been trying for years!

Can't even open my email at this stage. Jippee. Another peerfect night of pure internet bliss...

A mode of 25% packet loss in Grahamstown. Pings that normally take less than 50 ms on a bad day are taking 200+ ms. I am assuming this is a case of congestion given your capacity in the East dropped and only my computer is connected. However, I understand that this is a best-effort service and don't mind waiting till everything is back to normal
