Afrihost's Pure 5G

Worst fking company ever.

Apply for Pure LTE yesterday, works for 1 hour then gets blocked cause Huawei B593 device not supported.
I'll take that one as I did not go through all the models on there list:

Contacted Whatsapp support and they tell me in order to get a modem or switch to Telkom, I have to cancel and re-apply:

Hi, Fixed Pure LTE is restricted to approved devices only. Please confirm which package did you get, if it is uncapped Pure LTE we can add the router for free to the package. Offer subject to Cancellation Policy.

Like I said I get that. My bad for not reading all the model numbers, but in order to get an approved modem I have to pay schooling fees ie: cancel sim that I cant use (But pay for it)
and re-apply for a new sim + modem.

Simpler and less waste would have been, I don't know, maybe send a modem to work with the sim I already have or something like that.

Please send me a PM with your account number so I can check the package you are on. Should it be any other package the router is available at a promotional once-off fee of R1499.

On south coast KZN its pretty good. 300 down 50 up. Except for load shedding at the moment but still 30 down and 50 up. Evening peak does slow down but not unusable.

Can you use an ups to keep the 5G router going during load shedding? thanks

Planned to use this for a VOIP PBX set up but need something with lower latency unfortunately no fibre

@AfriNatic the MTN coverage map show I have 5G coverage but the AH coverage map tells me only LTE available. Any way we can make this work?
