Cell C data uppercut lined up

Go Cell C!

Hope there will be some bloody MTN and Vodacom noses.

If they could just make the connection stable, I'll be happy. No point in bringing down the prices, but the quality of the connection is not on par with competition.

I'm completely satisfied with the price I paid for the Giga 200. But the stability (and speed) of the service is borderline during peak times of the day. At the moment, I'd rather opt for more capacity at the tower, or more towers - whatever will make the service reliable.

PS (OT) - Cell C's my-account has been unavailable for weeks now. How long before this gets fixed? This is the only way some of us can check out balance (iPad etc.)

I had to buy Vodacom data because my Cell C data doesn't work in the evenings. At the moment Cell C has the problem that their success has happened too quickly and they are struggling with congestion on quite a few towers. They will fix this but it's going to take a while.

I wouldn't recommend that anyone go the Cell C route without testing their throughput properly. It doesn't matter if you've got good signal. I hope they fix all their problems because their prices are great.

Had great results with 8ta/Telkom Mobile... as long as they offering 10GB for R199/m... I'm their customer!

Signal strength is great, and throughput is 100%!

+1 the congestion issue is still not solved.

+1. Have no issues TM and I got anoth 10GB midnight surfer as well. 20GB for R300.

The congestion is area dependent so yeah check it out in your area and then decide but cell c definitely has the right pricing already.

In my home area i can hardly get 0.5mbps on cell c and it times out often, while just 7 kilometers away at work i get a whopping 10.5mbps also on 3g and then at my in-laws place which is in rural mp i get a reasonable and highly usable 1.8mbps,and it jhb most areas that i test its around the 6mbps mark, so its is very very area dependent.

I don't see why CellC needs to respond. Their normal pricing is cheaper than Vodacom and MTN's one month specials.
