HI CELLC has the 64 bit driver issue with the MF190 been fixed yet?

Just got an ZTE MF190 3 days ago works great on XP 32 bit machine but wont install the driver correctly on my primary WIN7 64 bit machine. I have tried running as admin in safe mode even though i have enterprise admin rights to my domain.

All very very frustrating may as well as stayed with Vodacom!

There was an issue with the qualcomm processor in the MF190 (and MF668) and 64-bit machines/OS's. My advice to you is either take it back and swap it for a Huawei E1752, or get the Cell C store guys to flash the lastest firmware on the dongle...

Hi Pavan, Why cant CellC just post the link to the latest firmware so i can flash the device? If I have to trust the CellC store guys I may just end up with flashed machine. As for a swap out will give that a go if I dont get online tech help from CellC thanks.

Well from what I've heard, Cell C have updated drivers on their website nowadays... but the easy-flash tools will only come around June I believe... so for now you're gonna have to visit a store :/

I am sitting with similar problems to those posted earlier. MF668 Modem, works perfectly on Win7 Home Premium 64, "Access Violation" and "Exception in module DLL.Netcard_R.dll at 00053583" when installing on BenQ Joybook running XP(32) SP3. Have uninstalled software and tried reinstalling through differnet USB ports to no avail, any solutions yet?

I have the ZTE mf190 modem which I purchased in April - May. It worked fine until a few days ago. It keeps disconnecting after 5-10 minutes of use. I have to then remove and reinsert the device. Is there some fix for this or do I need to take it back to autopage for repairs? Whilst typing this it has disconnected.

I've got a ZTE and have zero issues with it. The users are crap most likely.

I also have a ZTE modem and it can't hold a connection for longer then 12 hours, yet my Huawei modem holds a connection for a week or so... The Huawei modem gives me a lower ping and higher speeds. Same location same sim and both modems are 7.2mbps down and have HSUPA.

Then it's possible you have a dud. I've had my ZTE MF190 connected for more than 24 hours constantly with zero issues.

This is my latest speed test test result:

ZTE MF190

This may sound awfully stupid but how do you get the simcard out? I tried the thingy at the back but it will not eject. Trying to get it open without ripping it apart

Press along the side with your thumbnail.
The casing should split apart.....

With difficulty, I eventually used a long nose pliers to get it out.

Wow :D That must of sucked.

You actually pull the entire top of the modem apart (not the electronic bit). Look closely at the bottom where the CellC logo is. You stick your nails in there and pull it apart :p
