I would like to know if the new drivers would make my ZTE MF668 Cellc modem compatible with the D105?
Any help is appreciated.

Cell zte mf190 install issue

Hi all,

2 days and no response from cell c, in the mean time i'm struggling to install my brand new modem.

The issue is on my laptop (Acer win xp sp3), after installing the dashboard, the application fails to run with the following errors:

Exception EOleException in module DLL_NETCARD_R.DLL at 0005411E
Access violation at address 006b00ea in module 'UIMain.exe'. Read of address 000002Ec

Googles this to death with no luck.

Has anybody else had this, or maybe if somebody from the elusive Cell C is about...?

Thanks

Consulted Google (man's new best friend :) ) and found that it could have installed using a specific compatiblity mode, not sure why, but you can try to remove it. The forum i found it on and the way to remove it. Hope it helps

Does this make the TP-Link Wireless-N 3G Router compatible? Oh, and I went on Tp-link's website and they show the mf668+ compatible. Does it make a difference?
Thanks for the reply.

It works 100% with all modems. I havent had any problems and i've used 3 modems including the MF668

Hey CC-G

Looked at that, and wasn't installed in Compat mode. Tried using compat mode to see if I can get a different response but no luck. I've uninstalled and re-installed about 20 times, run registry cleaners and tried to install join air. I'm guessing it's this machine, but I just need to know what to fix.

Frustrating just isn't the word...

Uninstall the Cell C UI (Add/Remove Programs). This will also uninstall the ZTE MF190 drivers. Restart your PC, insert the dongle, and go through the installation wizard again. If this doesn't work, then as teraside said, PM the Cell C Rep.

Also, if the problem persists, try swap the ZTE dongle for the equivalent Huawei model and try that...

Win 7 ZTE install problem

Im trying to install the ZTE MF190 onto my friends Windows 7 32bit laptop
It goes through the installation wizard fine and says completed succesfully
Then when clicking the icon on the start menu I get this dialog box error:

UIMain.exe - Application Error
The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000005). Click OK to close the application

Is there another application I can use with ths ZTE modem?

Cell C MF190 Modem

Hi there

Got a Cell C 2Gig package yesterday, with the MF190 modem. I am running Windows 7 64bit Enterprise Edition.

When I plug the device in, the Autorun executes, I install the program. First off, when it completes, it tell me that 'The program might not have installed correctly'. I click OK.

Then the program starts up, but it cannot connect, as there are little warning icons stating that 'No device detected'

Anyone experience this before? Is there a fix I can try? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's your laptop, not the device.

Tried "Right click" and "Run as administrator" ?

Have you check device manager to check to see if it is detecting the device as a modem and not as a mass storage device?
