rpm, perhaps this needs to be a sticky thread as this is the 3rd most active Vodacom thread with over 500 replies.

I'd much rather let the forumites keep it alive than do so artificially :) and if the duplicate network errors, speed posts and often repeated FAQ's are anything to go by, people tend to ignore stickys...

Good point, lets keep this one rolling troopers!

Fortunately I moved to ADSL long ago. I am just bumping the thread because I feel sorry for you guys & girls locked into a Vodacom contract.

Theres no justification in your post ...it should be deleted for not contributing to the struggle and you jumping ship

Actually it seems the only way Vodacom and MTN will come to their senses is when someone has to explain to the share holders where all their data users went. 36 pages of posts is testament to the fact that people have asked and are being ignored. Vote with your wallet.

PS. ....says the man with the Webafrica 11GB for R99 in his sig :p

*sigh*... what is going on at Vodacom HQ?
Vodacom has however now announced that they will ‘re-introduce’ their standard 500 MB, 1 GB and 2 GB Broadband Advanced packages later in May, but at significantly reduced rates.

The price of a 500 MB Broadband Advanced service will be reduced from the current R279 per month to R185 per month. The cost of a 1 GB bundle will fall to R285 per month from the current R389 while the price of a 2 GB bundle is slashed from R599 to R385.

Honestly what is the point of the Advanced bundles now anyway? Just collapse Advanced onto Standard so IB = OOB and bump up the caps to something more significant than ~20%. Then we have 1 product with various sizes and more bang for buck. Simple!

I think it's all in the heading.
Vodacom slashes Broadband Advanced rates
All just for publicity sake.

Just shows how much ripping off has been going on

I suppose even if we had to throw in a free state of the art laptop and a 21Mbs modem for free we would still not be satisfied....................;)

Shouldn't that table have included the new extra data voda added as per :

rpm/VodacomData et al - please clarify if I now get 2.5Gb @ R385 (18c OOB) on Voda advanced.

Isn't there also a rollover advantage to Advanced?

Might be better to post questions for rpm in that thread. The way I read the article it does not look like the bigger bundles (or in marketing speak "free data") apply to the "new" advanced bundles. Rollover as far as I can see is the same on both.

No actually. People just want cheap data...

Coming from Vodacom nothing is 'free'

Listen to what the people want.

Introduce 5gb bundles at this years prices and the people will buy their own laptops.

Who needs a 21Mps modem at these prices anyways?

This isn't a flame BTW, your company is very, very confused at this point in time.
