Cheaper 3G Prices - Rep?

It is time that Trevor Noah take over as the Vodacom rep on the forum to ensure that the Vodacom top get the feedback from the ground..................or are they just greedy or stupid? Only 3 options exist, namely death, stupid or greedy.

Perhaps we as shareholders of Vodacom must attend next AGM to inform the incompotent management team to wake up, smell the roses and look at the masses abandoning Vodacom because of Vodacom's reluctance to be competitive and reduce data rates again by 60%.

What happened to SA's misleading cellular network? :(
There, I corrected it for you... They're not leading any more, in fact, they are not even following Cell C. A complaint to the ASA is in order!

It's been interesting to observe the reaction on the Vodacom forum to CellC's latest price reduction. While everybody was wating for the CellC promotion to arrive there was a lot of comment on here, mostly from people promising to leave as soon as CellC hit town.

When the most recent announcement came from CellC regarding the revised high-end bundle pricing, there was a lot of happiness over on that forum, with people commenting how CellC took the comments of the forumites to heart and changed the pricing model.

And on this forum? Not a word. Not from the forumites and certainly not from Vodacom. Which leads me to think that a.) either they've all gone to CellC and there's nobody left here or b.) we've completely given up on Vodacom ever doing the right thing for their customers, and we're just biding our time (vasbyt, min dae!) while watching those other guys with great envy.

What is this promotion about free browsing at night on vodacom 3g bundles? The advert is like 3 secs long anyone got any info, I tried the vc website and it took me to a page cannot be displayed error, lol. Think I'm buying cell c next month, if nothing comes of it, 5G for 299pm yeah baby! that's 10 gig for two months, Vodacant can suck it! >:(

okay never mind I found it, turns out it's only for contract users and it's not free browsing at night, it just double your bundle but you can only use the other half between 12am and 5am, gee thanks Vodacrums, ha, ha, ha lol.

That’s a whole lot more Internet – FREE! Only the Vodacom family get Broadband at the best value.

Quote from thie promotion, WTHBBQ!? ROTFLMAO!? What is that if you work for vc or something because otherwise your getting shafted, cell c all the way.

I know. It's a lame & pathetic.

This is Vodacom's answer to real competition from CellC. :p

In my case it is, sorry, was a and b.
a) I bought a prepaid package and is more than happy with it. The service in the Cell C store was excellent and by the time I got to the office 10 minutes later the RICA thing was done.
b) I kept my E272 and Vodacom sim as initially Cell C's top-up bundles were too expensive. Now that they are more reasonably priced I gave my modem and sim to a friend who lives out in the bundu where Cell C is unlikely to reach in the next year or so.
I am still on this forum, simply because I have voice contracts with Vodacom, and on each of them a small data bundle.

I couldn't agree more! Even MTN's freebie on prepaid voice is better than Vodacom's offer. I don't think Vodacom has answers any more.

How Vodacom gets to "the best value" is beyond me. You must first be locked into a contract, arguably the most dangerous contract you can ever enter into. Then you must forego your sleep? And what is this "Vodacom family" business?

Their contract = the "Vodacom Family"

it's like the mafia man, once you sign that dotted line, you join the "family" - you are in and you can't get out.
They make an offer some can't refuse, like nightowl. =)

I'm not getting into that data contract family ever again - I am rehabilitated and I'm going to stay that way!

I really want to know why they have a hard on for allowing us these so called "extras" between 12am and 5am, sure for the 5 people in the country that will actually use it, it's just dandy but for millions of others they might as well take a crap on our doorstep and call that a little extra and expect us to happy about it. VC has to be the most delusional company in SA, really the mind boggles. Cell C for the win.

So, did the top management wake up in Vodacom and will we see a movement in data prices tomorrow?
