so I logged a ticket a while back regarding packet loss etc... and reading this thread about congestion in cpt...

scenario :

server is in jhb + vumatel + cisp 50/50

I'm in cpt with 1. telkom lte 2. Rain lte and with both of them I have been having major issues with connection to my server. timeouts packet loss etc etc...

I think there is some issue in cisp cpt / telkom exchange

PM me your ticket number, the CPT congestion issue is on the Vumatel side at peak times only, Telkom and us don't share an "exchange" in CPT, we have our own network to Telkoms/OpenServe.

@PBCool - could you drop me your DNS servers so I can SmokePing to monitor them?

Nevermind, sorted :D

Might have just found out why Google Drive can't break 50Mbit up... will update later

Hi all...

Seems to be a bit of a stupid question, but where can I see my usage details? I'm on uncapped, but still would like to see now and then how much the streaming has chowed up. Could not find anything under the client area under my services.

We don't track your usage, you can do this from your side if you like.

Hi all..

Somewhat a off topic question, but also in way relative to the ISP.

I've been trying to get ALLUC and Real-Debris links to resolve and work, but can't seem to get it working.

Have tried it on a few platforms, but it just doesn't want to work.

So my question is:

1. Does that services work for South Africa?
2. Is this possibly, which I doubt, an South African ISP restriction?

I use Real-Debrid and it works. I find that there are a lot of dead links, and a lot of slow ones (still better than the std ones) but in most things I can find one that works. My Aus friend tested, and he finds similar #'s of dead links but has less issue with buffering but his ping to the US is a lot better. Have tried using VPN with it to see if it was an ISP thing, and regardless of location I get similar results so I am blaming the servers in the US not the ISP :)

Also a Real-Debrid user, also experience inconsistent performance but suspect it's more of a Real-Debrid issue than Cool Ideas.

It is the same with www.watchfree.to - Lots of dead links. Streaming is ok in our mornings but as soon as the USA wake up it becomes impossible. Someone on here recommended Soda Player. That REALLY works! Find a torrent of any modern (well seeded) movie and open it directly in Soda Player either from the torrent file or the magnetic link. It buffers for a bit and then streams perfectly even at 1080p.

Hi again...

Thanks for the feedback guys...

Using Terrarium TV a lot and when I Deselect the "resolve links automatically" I get rB links.. They all fail for me and it always goes to a "standard link" -- Alluc seems to be a complete miss and nothing comes up.

I decided to try the paid version of Alluc which gives me 20 000 link look up per day. guess I will stop that service then.

Again thnx for the replies... At least I know it's standard for all.
