International speed tests have always been very poor for me on Cool Ideas. To be fair though, they weren't good with Crystal Web either. I get 90+Mbps to pretty much any local server, but seldom over 12-15Mbps to an international one. Single-threaded speeds are an issue with many services - certain video streaming sites like Vimeo, Twitch, Hulu etc. are unusable without some sort of tool for turning streams into multi-threaded affairs. Often http download speeds are terrible too, until I cancel and restart in a download manager. I've assumed it's garbage Openserve network configuration to blame, but if this is something that an ISP could tackle that would be amazing.
I've always had crap speeds with Dropbox, even with business accounts. My heart sinks when a client uses Dropbox and sends me links to download large folders. Guaranteed to take ages compared to literally any other cloud storage service.
