I have - they say it's not on the Vumatel active problem list, but will come back to me - each time they do, there is no news or ETA. Been like this since 3pm. Done all the normal fault checking, rebooting etc. CI gave me a new IP as well - no change. Just need assurance it's being looked into and an ETA if possible.

@PBCool

I stay in Cape Town and was just wondering why the Cloudflare DNS is routed to Durban? and Google to JHB

@PBCool I've just placed an order with your connect department (hopeless bunch might I add) - but now that they've eventually understood that I am an existing MTN Fibre client and I have my cancellation date they told me that I may have no connection for up to 7 days after my cancellation? This sounds a bit ridiculous..

While improbable it could be true. The fibre lines have to be released by previous ISP and then opened for config for new ISPs.

If people drag their feet during this it can take that long. If everyone just does their job it can takes minutes.

Can you PM me your account name? MTN gives us a 7 day lead time but we can push it forward. Also please let me know who you were dealing with in connect?

Is there any problem with Vumatel in the Randpark Ridge area?

The Vumatel modem is flashing on the blue light only.

Is a configuration/provisioning issue or fibre break, if after a restart it doesn't get any better (which I presume you've done) then log a ticket for a fibre break.

Have restarted. Will do so again. Do I log the ticket with Vumatel? Thanks for your help :)

Hi there, considering to get the 200/100 package, I have my own router and have a fibre connection already with another ISP. Does your data only package apply to me then? The R1699 for 200/100? Also my usage roughly per month is 500GB to 700GB... will I at all be hit with any throttling or FUP? Thanks for the answers

Yeap it does, and we don't have an FUP.

@PBCool did you see my post
Oh sorry missed that, yes for some reason our new peer in KZN is being preferred, should be able to investigate tomorrow around this.

Googles peering is only in JHB so I would think that is normal?

Cool thanks. I see on my graphs you correct with Google. CloudFlare on Openserve and TI was getting 2ms. Now on Octotel and you guys 20-30ms. Just checking :)
