"Do you want to include the OpenServe line rental?"

Not sure how to answer that question. My current ISP is charging me R1799 for 100/50 and I am not paying a line rental... however if I choose it with you the 100/50 option is R1899 and I assume your price for 200/100 then gets added on top of that? Orrrr should I say I will do my own line rental? Not sure... thanks

It didn't come up as I was responding :), you are paying a bundled rate with your previous ISP. This means you have a 100Mbps line bundled with it. So you can use a 100Mbps data only account from another ISP, a 200Mbps data account would be limited to 100Mbps by your line.

Ah ok that makes sense, so then the residential option from you guys would make more sense.

You mean the bundled service from our side? You would then need to cancel and arrange a migration of the line to us.
 
Does anyone have a turnaround time from when metro fiber brings the new ONT/CPE calix 803 box to getting it configured. I use to be with a previous isp so my line and all is working as they took my old Calix box back today. Service light is on but nothing for broadband

Yeah...up and down at the moment (last 10 minutes or so) - 0kb/s to normal line speed in the space of a few seconds. Twitch is not liking it :(

I'm in Weltevredenpark.
 
We have seen the route issue and swapped paths. Should be back to normal.
 
@PBCool I noticed that when I do a speedtest, my default server is picked as Worcester (I live in Cape Town), and when switching to a Vox account, it will revert to Cape Town. Also, is this somehow related to the fact that I get roughly 50ms higher latency when gaming on European servers using my Coolideas uncapped account vs. a capped Vox account? (Coolideas ~ 190ms, Vox ~ 150ms). Just curious if there are differences in the routing that would cause this.

No this just means it's a new IP range, can you PM me your IP?

I can back this up as well. Although I believe this is only with CISP's CPT OS routing. Vumatel and Octotel have much lower pings from what I've seen in this thread.

We fixed the latency on OS though no?
 
Seem to have issues in that now my line is up and running, but i cant access certain websites e.g steam beta.speedtest.net killernetwoking unifi.ubnt.com etc. mybroadband works absa those are fine. Just find it super odd on the MFn network

Solved it, problem seems to be the MSS(MTU)
