Thanks for checking, I also tried the torrent option on that page, same thing. When I switch to LTE, it goes full speed, but on fibre, it only goes up to 1.8Mb/s. Same with any other torrent.

Coolideas fibre account useless
Webafrica fibre account useless
Afrihost fibre account usless

Using a afrihost topup adsl account on fibre results in near perfect internet .

Using the dsl accout suddenly cuts out the dreaded the 3rd hop 192.168.11.* assume this where fibre conncets to opserves IPC.. this can also be see in @KantSnyer results

Almost appears if an adsl account uses a less congesed route to the ipc or something.

TracePing report for: google.co.za (216.58.223.3):

9: 216.58.223.3 45/44 2% 46 7/25/255 26/244

This appears still to be a capacity issue on openserves ipc for fibre

I tested the torrent on mine and im getting 10-16MB\s on 200mb line vumatel cpt, but it seems like its slowly increasing.

I have to agree. OpenServe in Durban and this is now night 3 where latency is making gaming really tough with it spiking constantly between 200 to 500ms.
Also using an Afrihost pre-paid account and ping rock solid 170ms, doesn't move.

Those are some mighty fine pings, were they always this good to Europe or is it because you don't have to share with us OpenServe slaves at the moment?

It is always that good from Cape Town on Vumatel Trenched + CISP, I believe from Johannesburg if it routes via Cape Town then international you can add 10 - 20 ms to the Cape Town values.

Well I got no Internet tonight. 0. Naught. Zilch.. Zero. Just trusty old mtn Lte on my phone.

Who knows when this replacement ont will be configured and sync?? Vumatel/CISP zero feedback.

It's like they doing me a massive favour by trying to fix 40% packet loss on the line.

Just connected up my 4k TV to my MI box. Tomorrow will upgrade Netflix account and then we'll see about streaming 4k over the wifi

I haven't been monitoring my connection this evening, but I haven't noticed any issues and things seem fine atm. Hopefully the previous crap is behind us.

Lol, all good, just been out. Glad I missed the sh#tshow. And you?
I missed the sh#tshow completely. Got a brand spanking new ONT. Now just need to find someone with enough interest to configure the thing. I sense an internet-less weekend ahead.
