The lights on the ethernet port are interesting, solid green and flashing orange above it. Full duplex? Maybe should try auto but still, it's not like my iperf test over wifi was any better... so that rules out faulty network card?

This feels like a configuration issue on Vumatel's side to me... but I always say that... It's like Paul and his Windows TCP limit...

Meh...so sad that I can't watch the boks game in anything higher than Low quality at the moment without buffering like a mothertrucker. Going to switch accounts at half time and see if it makes a difference.

Definitely an issue on my side / area here in Bloem then. But then again.. I swopped to my Vox fatpipe account now and can stream it without any issues in 1080p. This is really getting tedious now, paying R1500 a month for uncapped, but I have to resort to a capped account to be able to watch something in prime time.

iperf Done.

Are you not supposed to get packets out of order with iperf?

Pings have been bad most of the day today, if this is indeed an OpenServe issue why are there no complaints from users on other ISP's?

3 times tonight I've downloaded the Nvidia drivers (on different machines) and 3 times tonight the download has tanked at 99.98% complete... This actually happened to me yesterday before the ONT swap out so it's not ONT related...

Good point that you're making. I don't know any more. I opened a ticket earlier tonight during half time of the boks game. Will do the necessary tests and see if anything happens....

That is because it is an OpenServe and CoolIdeas issue. Cannot play games in the evenings at all because the ping fluctuates terribly. During day it runs 100%, evenings is a lost cause.
Reason why I say it is OpenServe and CoolIdeas is because for the last week I've had to play on a pre-paid Afrihost account where the ping runs constantly between 180-190ms.

I get the same when switching to an Axxess prepaid account but was lead to believe this runs on a separate network to the fibre network as it is ADSL data and therefor not an indicator that the problem lies with the ISP.

My concern however is the lack of complaints from OpenServe users with other ISP's you's expect there to be a major outcry if this was affecting all OpenServe users?
