Maybe you have a faulty Fibre cable. Really consider that.
I would expect zero throughput if a cable were faulty but who knows man? I've done as much as I can from my end IE tried wireless tests, used new Cat6 cable from ONT to router, connected direct to ONT, swapped routers. Nothing else I can do other than sabotage the installation and force a reinstall, which I'm not about to do...

Wish I had a solution for you :( really hope you figure it out.

I appreciate those who found last night entertaining
Just here to help where I can, my connection is still stable.

I have escalated your line to our AM once again, apparently they changed the port on the OLT when they swapped your ONT as well.

@PBCool Thanks for fixing the routing. Seems you managed to get even the IPs that I hadn't listed yet.

PoE should be back to normal for those who are wondering, at least for the London gateway.

Yeah Angola cables are supposed to tag the routes they are learning in London, which we can then filter out, but this doesn't seem to be working very well as yet :(

Fiber fiber fiber! The number one ISP, bullshit. For over a month I have received shitty connection. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left it alone for a while. Then it continued this way, then I submitted a ticket on their site via the client zone.

No response a couple days later, now I’m busy I don’t have time to run after a ISP and phone in and bitch to them.

I expect a response as these guys are voted number one? I mean what’s the point of the ticketing system if they do not respond? What if my internet was down? I called into the useless call center which has done absolutely nothing so far, and that made me decide to post a thread. I want to tarnish their name, why boast number one if I receive service like this???? PLEASE DONT FALL FOR THEIR CRAP.

Who can recommend a new ISP? Cool ideas is not for the best service or connection.

Watch the YouTube video, my internet buffers on YouTube, Netflix quality degrades to the lowest, things don’t load. They bill me for a 50mb line, yet I upgraded to a 100mb line. Their call center is utterly useless, waiting on the phone, debit orders don’t come off, just a bad experience. My speed test has not gotten above 40 in the passed month. Cable or WiFi, all their agents ask is please do speed test with cable please, after I stated that I use a cable all the time. My speed tests have been getting around 5-20mb in average.
it didn't cross your mind that perhaps psn network is severely constrained?

Actually not but the PS doesn't support TCP window scaling so if the content is not available via local sources, Akamai or other CDNs it will get it via an international one. Do some readup on poor performance on PS4s. It's pretty common all over.

http://4.download.real-debrid.com/speedtest/test.rar

Only tested the fastest one of the bunch and it peaked at 20MB/s on my 200/200 CI (single threaded in default opera browser download) compared to the 72MB/s I got on dedicated 10Gbit connection yesterday.

Aside from the fact you reported only 1-2MB/s and I assume you are with CISP and on vumatel trench I cant imagine us routing from inside to out so drasticly different based on our location in SA to show such different results.

Is it possible just maybe that you are in a highly overcrowded/congested vumatel intersection in your area with high density of businesses clogging up the local vumatel bandwidth seeing you posted your results around the start of businesses opening ?
Early morning is usually when the account is at it's best. Right now I'm getting 300KB/s on that link...

What suburb?

I have no idea what that is, but I see some torrent thing in task bar.

I assume you would post only legal download issues?

Of course! What other issues are there? We're all here just posting about our legal download issues...

In this day and age, I seriously don't get this need to torrent anything and everything that pops up on a seed. But that's just me.

Well like I said my test didn't show great results about 70% of expected max line speed to the link at time of testing vs your 300KB/s while you state you are on vumatel and CISP same as me.

At this point I can only think its an area problem, vumatel somehow being overloaded before your traffic hit CISP.

Where you able to do a singlethreaded download test to reliable local download to compare at same time to that international testfile ?

Just tested same file again and it peaked at 10MB/s on my 200/200 CISP and at 16MB/s on my 10Gbit test. If its not a local vumatel issue the only other explanation for me at this point is the server sending the data is overloaded and applying some form of shaping which would have bigger affect on singlethread speed depending on your latency to the host which would explain my 10Gbit host getting slightly faster peak speed to it due to much lower latency to it.
