Again, I think the issue also lies with your actual Fibre line as well with regards to iperf.

Just remind me again, you have done this direct on the ONT and also from another PC?

Okay so single thread performance of this Home-connect 1Gbps account has, so far, been incredibly underwhelming!! Even Multi thread results to international servers are really poor and well below par! For the most part the CISP 200Mbps account was outperforming the 1Gbps on international servers with the exception of Coreix London.

However, using IDM and forcing 32 connections per thread, one can really extract some performance out of the line. I have the speed limiter set to 60MB/s per download but with maximum connections @ 32. I wonder at what stage, if at all, there is a slow down due to hard drive read/write rates?

1st download is a youtube video, 2nd is Apple ipsw (not sure where cached but always runs at max line speed), 3rd, 4th and 5th are off of rapidgator premium file sharing site. I think the 32 connections got a bit too much for the rapidgator servers and connections were closed. But check it out...

I would blame contention ratio
