The CTO of Octotel has years of experience, there should not be any problems with Octotel's network. Yet come evening, and it all falls apart.

Competence will only get you so far. If the company he works for is unwilling to fix or admit there are issues then its moot.

ha ha ha. I was not expecting that. Nice one!

What in the hell is going on tonight now, I can't ping a single international site. Go in a game it disconnects in the first 5 minutes.. Obviously local streaming(DSTV and Netflix) is fine because that is all that works in South Africa.. local is mos lekker.

Flock.

Keep believing that.

My shitty LTE that isn't even in coverage beats your 50mb fiber, well in relative terms.

You should get at least 75% of your speed to london.

EDIT: I'll be happy with 50%.

Connection is working fine for my needs on international. Not saying it is perfect but I have no issues.

Running a TCP test to the US from my MikroTik to another MikroTik:

Getting full download and upload so like I said, no issues.

As per the test results on the previous post, Octotel network is under strain.

There is definitely a slow down that happens during peak time to this speedtest server on cisp, i think i just missed it now and thats why the speed looks more normal. Running it on a windows machine makes it more prone to slower speeds too.

Thanx for this.

Yeah raw bandwidth is there.. Just routing seems fubar for me...

still cannot open www.ui.com, e-tshwane.co.za and a few others.. Using cloudflare or Google. DNS makes no difference.
