Glad to hear your issues are sorted. Your streaming good too? Your upload still looks a bit wonky.

Streaming is perfect for the first time in weeks. I have logged a ticket about that upload speed in the beginning of December already. Maybe Octotel really did work on the network and they will fix that too. Now I hope they will do the southern suburbs as quickly as possible.

So some feedback from Octotel is that they use a portion of Cape Town city's fibre network for backhaul and some of it is congested. It was supposed to be upgraded this week but there was some complication. It is apparently going to be done Any day now. As soon as I have further feedback I will update.
Not to be funny but that sounds like a lame excuse from their side. “Any day now” what do they mean by that? When the moon and sun align and we’ve all stood by the fire singing “cumbaya”

20/20 line speed, tests done at 12:15 am 03/02/2019 (off-peak hours)

LOL! Sorry, that was funny!

Finally some good news.

Although the cynic in me is saying wait and see tonight since Sunday is always the most congested day of the week.

Anyone's internet just die? Mines completely dead - 10 minutes and counting.

So tired of this unstable crap.

Yup mine is dead too here in Cape Town. Cool ideas has gone to ****. Can anyone recommend a more stable ISP? I'll even pay more to end this bullshit.

@PBCool do coolideas shape traffic

see my steam downloads are maxed

YouTube steaming is also fine

but then torrents are maxed at 50mbps (5000k) this off torrents with high seed ratio

http download tests are also dismal

ping test show no packet loss and trace routes appear fine

I did buy an uncapped unshaped product and that's what I expect. if this is not sorted and because it's only been since Thursday afternoon that I have singed up I would want a full refund including the connection fee. highly disappointed

Neighbour across the road still has internet, Vox.

Mine has also been fine.

CISP + Octotel

*EDIT

torrents are fine ... used Ubuntu torrent file and am getting 10.5mbit/s so will accept that as being ok (84 megs)

streaming is fine on both YouTube and Netflix

steam downloads are also ok

but http downloads ... certainly this is some setting with the ISP in terms of my profile. Really don't feel now there is a fault per say but rather but some sort of issue on the http protocol ... maybe I'm lucky to have shaping on that protocol
