K, I'm seeing loss to you too. Check your PM, need your account details.

OK, your PPPoE is disconnecting every few minutes, and then reconnecting.
Have asked our support manager and teamleader to log it with Octotel, and follow up with you.

I am very happy that all the problems have been sorted out with streaming in the evenings, but why is there such a difference between the upload speed multi and single thread. I am still trying to upload to mega nz but it takes forever. I see some people here get perfect upload speed.

Pings much higher than earlier this week and the download looking quite horrid, usually get at least 40 down from this server

With reference to test results (all multi link) posted above, two devices were accessing Netflix and a Teamviewer session was being used to access the PC that the test was initiated from at the time of the test - nonetheless, it's clear that all things are not as they should be on the international links.

I was also quite surprised to see the drop-off on the Jhb test.

Based on the test to Cape Town, the link from my home to CISP is fine.

The windows TCP stack is by default not well tuned for uploads.
@TheRoDent @PBCool Is there a way for me to find out what the optimal MTU size should be for my 20/20 line?

The optimal MTU is automatically assigned to you by our PPPoE server and any MSS that falls outside the MTU is automatically clamped by our PPPoE servers as well, so you shouldn't have to do anything.

But if you need to set it or something, 1480 is the value to use.

If you have any packet loss on your line any increase in latency will have an exponential effect on the throughput due to re-transmits taking that much longer.

Cape Town based ?

Ah, thanks.

I presume the best way to check for packet loss is to use WinMTR - which host should I test to?
