Wired connection, see screenshot and speeds. I'm subscribed for a 50 Mbps line.

What router are you using, it might not matter but if it got a gigabit WAN port going into your CPE then you might want to try this.

If it is on autonegotiate it probably is syncing at 1000Mbit to the CPE, try and force it to 100Mbit and test again and let us know.

I ran into a couple of "faulty" vumatel CPE's in recent months where either its a case of it not functioning right syncing at 1000Mbit from router to CPE or it might be related to specific router chipsets that dont work properly with the vumatel(raycore) CPE.

Back to your issue tho, those random speed results is exactly what we experienced on these units that had issues. Forcing 100Mbit solved the issue on all the units that had the problem.

Does anyone else notice really slow speeds on Youtube? I seem to be buffering every few seconds on just 720p lately with a 100Mb line.

Everything else seems fine. Twitch, Speedtest, Netflix, etc

@PBCool My installation is scheduled tomorrow at 2:30pm. I just want to know If I'll be able to be live by tomorrow or only by Monday? Also thanks for the escalation.

Depends is this trenched or aerial? Trenched is available immediately whereas Aerial they provision the ONT manually.

Please log it with us, we do multiple gigabits to Googles peer.

just want to check, did anyone have sporadic packet loss last night? I was playing some online games and i saw massive inbound packet loss and then few seconds later it would stabilize. Then about a min or 2 later the same thing would happen. This happened between about 8:30 and 10:00 last night.

Did not see anything significant on my side in CT on Octotel..

@PBCool My fibre has just been installed in my house and the PON light is blinking green. Apparently the line will be configured by tomorrow morning after which you guys will send out a router to me. Will it be ok for me to use my own router instead? What will I need to configure on my router to use it?

You need a router with a ethernet wan port, probably only need the username & passwd for pppoe on the router I suspect.

Awesome Thanks
Yeah I've been using a separate modem and router for my DSL so I'll use the router for the fibre as well!

Thanks for posting before I could :)

Yeap so you would just need a PPP username and password, would you then setup within your router. Your billing starts once this account is created.

More than likely the operator creating the loss, if it continues please log with us.

Got a question concerning installation.
We currently have a standing order , waiting for frogfoot to get to lynwood Zone 1:3.
In our setup our main pc where a Telkom line is installed where we want our fibre line installed is upstairs.
Is this going to cause problems with frogfoot installers?

Shouldn't be an issue but you will only know on the day when the installers come through.
