Cool Ideas Fixed 5G/4G Feedback Thread

Hi @CoolEscalator , I usually get lower ping 10-15ms using vodacom 5G but now my ping increased to 45-60ms.
My location also says that im in Johanesburg but i live in Cape Town.
How can i fix this or do i have to wait till my speed to gets capped? (i took the 20 mbps option)

This is how 5G works, you may have a backhaul route down and so rerouted. The IP geolocation means nothing towards latency.
 
For me personally, the speeds have been amazing, but since it's a wireless service, everyone will have a different experience.

Currently cisp haven't applied the speed restrictions yet, I also use this as a backup service, the other night frogfoot went down for about 4 hours but during the outage I downloaded overwatch on my 5G connection and it went 300-400mbps, I felt guilty doing that on a 20mbps package, but it was after 1am in the morning.
Have the speed restrictions been applied yet on these packages?

And if not, when?

Yes there is a reported outage from Vodacom, waiting on updates.
 
I'm still experiencing issues since yesterday's outage began. Is this still ongoing?

Yes I'm experiencing very random drops, any idea what is causing it or when it will be resolved?
Its been reported to Vodacom, they are still investigating.
 
My connection still troubling. Centurion area. Intermittent disconnections and switching to 4G constantly. Very frustrating.

Mine died on Sunday, 1st of March. One full week now relying on Telkom prepaid data as a backup.
Hi, what is your support ref as that would be unrelated?
