Yeah some weird issues popping up lately, game disconnects, having to force some YouTube videos to 720p, last night the DNS went dead, had to use Google DNS to get internet.

When you do pings, or test PingPlotter/WinMTR, do you get packet loss as well? Mine is around 8% at the moment.

Interesting that so many are having similar issues. I am in Pretoria.

I've tested with a Telkom test account too, though, and it is exactly the same.

interesting that it's on your Telkom as well .... I'll see what all accounts I can muster up later and do a whole range to see if it's affecting them all. I'm curious now.

Spoke to someone at telkom working at the exchange here and he is saying that the high latency I am experiencing is on the IS network.

What is wrong with CW live chat recently? It is painfully slow.

It takes so long for the support agent to reply. It used to be so quick and easy.

What used to take about a minute or so to get a password reset, just took 15 minutes!

The agent took MULTIPLE minutes between the 5 or so replies that they managed to type.

Heaven forbid I have a more difficult issue then a password reset in the future, as it will be easier to get Zuma out of office then try and get that agent to do something!

Yes I have also noticed that. My query took over 30 minutes on chat to get an answer.

Same here. Service on all parts seem to be regressing lately. And then there's the leak... I'm not on the plane out yet, but compared to a month ago, my view on CW has severely diminished.

Had a similar experience in chat support recently.
Perhaps CW management can provide some incite into the degradation of the livechat service.

Also, from what I'm reading the packet loss some users are experiencing may be regional. Got home and the wife was streaming netflix.
Whatever's happening doesnt seem to be affecting the cape town region as far as I can tell.

Live chat service has gone to ****.
Not jumping ship yet, but I'm sure as hell not taking my business of fibre for a big estate, to them.

I had to chat to them today and there was no wait and they were sharp... sorted out chop-chop.
Perhaps I just hit a busy period. I don't appreciate being told to "hold on" when I ask whether someone is still there after waiting for 5-10min without any response.

Congrats to CW on their placement in MyBB's best ADSL ISP Survey. Fully agree on the top notch network quality and keen to see what the Value for money results will look like in the next survey.

Taking the "Support and Billing" into consideration, the livechat is definitely a big factor in the positive score, so seeing (through others and my own experience) that livechat has dropped the ball in the past week or so, it's concerning. Hopefully they can get back on the ball and also get a solid self-help portal up and running.

Still better service than Telkom though and still better than a 1122 password.

For me, personally, I can tolerate delays with support when they're experiencing an influx of calls and chat requests.
Especially when considering that folks were experiencing packet loss.

Just a simple heads up is all that's needed. Be it in the form of an email, or automated message when logging into chat.

An informed client is a less irate client.

Every single night between about 19:30 & 20:00 I get disconnected from STO. I have to then switch the launcher to a US proxy & then I can login & play. Browsing seems fine. Anyone experiencing something similar? This has been more than a week now.

Star Trek Online? I play Nevewinter which I think is hosted on the same servers and have the same issues except sometimes it starts as early as 18:00 and goes as late as 22:00. In my case I login and then timeout before retrieving characters. Then sometimes I'll be able to select my character and it disconnects while loading the map. Very frustrating, especially when you sit typing in your password 20 times in a row! In my case though I'm using Web Africa which is also on the IS backbone and paying for their Business package which is supposed to be almost top priority on the network (go figure). I was seriously considering switching to CW based on the glowing reports but now hearing the latest stories and seeing your post makes me wonder if it's a good move and whether my issues aren't perhaps actually related to the IS network. By the way, if I switch accounts to the trial Axxess account it works fine, then back to WA and it times out, back to Axxess and it's fine again.... Seems pretty obvious as to the cause now.
