Eighteen or so months ago, I was an Afrihost client. Because of their network which fell apart, no communication and blatant lies, I moved to Crystalweb. A year and a half later, it feels like wash-rinse-repeat. More lies, radio silence, blameshifting and a broken network from an ISP of the Year winner.

What pisses me off more than anything is that I'm blackmailed to accept this: while Crystalweb/ Telkom/ Openserve/ Webafrica plays the blame game, I'm stuck at 2mbps. I cannot move my line to another ISP while it's in this holding pool. Even if I start the move RIGHT NOW, Crystalweb has told me it will take seven working days before it will be back with Telkom.

To Shaun Kaplan and the Crystalweb management: now is the time for big boy panties. I know you have a lot on your plate, but have some balls to put your arms in the air and say "we're sorry, we *****ed up, we take responsibility, here's the plan", and then give it to us straight. If you can't do it yourself, Google for a PR company to help you. Even if you tell us it's going to be rough for another two weeks before it's sorted out, chances are that we'd be happy with honest communication and remain loyal. We can then choose to wait until you have your house in order, or opt to go to another service provider. When you lie, you lose credibility. Without credibility, you lose clients.

Please fix your network.

The fact that I need to go to the website for network status updates as an affected party is also quite ridiculous.

I get mine via email... did you disable that setting? Or is it going to your spam folder?

Never had such a setting...there is no portal with settings so no idea where one would find such a setting.

Still that's a generic thing going to everyone on said list?

What about just emailing affected customers with updates? I have a ticket logged and nobody bothered putting any of these notices there all week.

I think it's because this thread is for feedback and not asking which ISPs to move to. Which moderator is active in this section?

I'm on a 0.5Mbps Premium Uncapped connection at the moment. The last word from support on the crop of tests that this result was included in still has me a little floored, to be honest: "perfect".

In my case apparently. I got the SMS's and email from Telkom saying that my line was being migrated though. Fault has been logged with Telkom
