If I could only predict lotto numbers like I predict the CW performance on home capped.

At exactly 17:00 my line became 'unlocked' and whalla. Full speed on everything.

Geez this is frustrating.

Could you PM me your DSL Username?

I sent a request for a 1 GB trial account via your web site last week (18th Jun @ ~ 5:20 pm). Got a "Your Crystal Web application is being processed" email pretty quickly, but nothing since ...

Now I see your web site is down ?! (checked via IsUp too)

We've seen that Home Capped has been performing well over the past few days. If you could hop onto live chat so our guys could run some tests with you so we can isolate the issue.

So this is what you call "performing well" - you guys are deluded

Rock solid performance ---> 174KB on a 1Meg line line -

@ CrystalWeb..... I know that you are making changes to alleviate issues / concerns in Cape Town for some users, but over the last week or so, I have noticed a degradation in my service. I truly hope that you are not taking from your Premium Business Clients and degrading our services after hours ? I might have a Premium Business account, but I have it so that I get the best possible connection / contention, etc... which includes after 5pm. I don't "close the office" at 5pm.

I am and always have been a huge fan of your service and streaming abilities, so please don't mess with the Premium Business Accounts...... :o

My account is once again preforming like a speed beast ! Streaming in HD without any issues and speed-tests are coming back with excellent results (even whilst streaming in HD on my Raspberry Pi).

Happy Days are Here again !

Yup.

Back to roughly 10% line speed on my account.

Home capped.

Could we please get some kind of PSA on these accounts and the problems they are facing?

Something broke. International seems screwy, fb wont load, neither will crystralweb.co.za

Something definitely broke! Also can't get onto the crystalweb site. Wanted to chat to support about crappy streaming performance tonight and now I can't.

Hi Guys,

There appears to be a problem this evening with our site, We have reported it to our Host. Will update you once we receive further information.

I disagree.

YouTube right now is shaped at 10% of my 40mb line.

Cannot watch HD videos.

Not cool. This is the same as last night.

I can almost guarantee that at 17:00 the speeds will increase.

If home capped is not fixed on June 25th I'm gone next month.

And this 10% shaping is on ALL services.

Speedtests are full speed and no issues on WinMTR's.

Can you confirm work is still being done on home capped accounts? Streaming should NEVER be shaped, much less the whole damn account.

I think there is something happening with the upstream provider (cough cough IS) and CW need to have a long hard chat about how this is effecting home capped users.

Well said though.

Us poor home capped users ... taking the brunt for being value seekers :) (or thrill seekers depending on how you look at it)

Yup.

Line ran fullspeed for maybe...40 minutes? Now back to 10% shaping.

Thank goodness for working alternatives.

Looking forward to an explanation.

My guess is 10,20 and 40 meg lines have the potential to put to much strain (read:demand to much bandwidth) at any given point in time, especially when combined with a value capped package.

I have no doubt we are being actively shaped on all protocols.
