Apologies for any errors that we have made on our side during your transition period from our Summer Promotion to Home Capped. It is a tough balance to get right, Offering data at what works out to around 60c per GB means some compromise has to be had. That being p2p and nntp is contended higher on these products. We do offer a range of products for each usage case, and if this sort of product isn't suitable we can always look at something more in line with your needs. Happy to discuss on live chat or via our ticket desk.
This sounds an awful lot like the stories we got from Openweb.
Paying a fair amount for what's supposed to be a good quality account. Hell, even moved my line over which normally I'm against in principal, and this most certainly isn't the sort of performance I received initially. Not a big fan of Telkom exchanges being blamed either. Another thing Openweb loved doing.

Same. Youtube is terrible on these home capped accounts.

What is your other IS capped provider ? Looks bloody great.

CW home capped is dead. Oh well. Moving on.

It's an OW premium capped account that I have for this month.

To be fair it's maybe not an apples to apples comparison but I used it to illustrate the severity of the shaping. Being limited to 2Mbps on Youtube on a 40Mbps account is not on.

That's actually decent streaming. This is my experience right now:

My upload speeds are brilliant, though. Always unaffected by whatever's happening to the download speed.

"We have noted an increase in the number of complaints from home capped customers. This has been reported to our upstream provider who manage these profiles (rather than premium products where we manage them directly) and they are investigating. An official update will be communicated within 7 days. "

Pass the buck. South African style. Love it.

Don't worry chaps, the upstream provider is investigating.

Shot. You mean the "OW unshaped capped" IS account ?

No, I don't think they have these accounts listed on their site. They used to be under the business section before they changed their website.

They gave me this account for a month for reporting a security issue with their customer portal.

"In preparation for the launch of various updates, enhancements, systems deployments, and network controllers, we have had to update our terms and conditions."

What has changed, please (in simple English, preferably)?

I received an email that indicated upgrades would go through, starting on the 26th, with the last changes to be done on the 30th.

Edit:
Actually there two emails. Check your inboxes.

Interesting 2 emails.

Glad to see the honesty coming back and the promise of what will be done to resolve the issues.

I think most of us would like them to have a bigger presence on the forums, but the times I really required their assistance I never had issues contacting them via their online chat. They have always been helpful and always managed to fix my issue. They ar e probably just very busy, they have stated that should you need support you should contact them via their Online Support systems, not on this forums.

combination of being busy and sick in bed with flu ...

and Shaun being out of the country on business, and managing the new goodies being released and the network upgrades, and fixing the ticket desk and hiring more staff. We're now covered properly on our support desk, Shaun is back and may have time to post here again hopefully soon, and Paul may one day get rid of the sniffles if he finds a decent city to live in :p

Paul already lives in SA's most epic [-]old age home[/-] city and has for (as of Tuesday) lived in same epic city for 10 years

The flu had better bloody pass before that little tournament next month

If the emails you sent out have dates for fixes could you post them here for people that are thinking of joining CW?

So ummm thanks for the emails :) just one question, when will I get my invoice so that I can pay you? Historically the email arrives on the 23rd but I haven't received it yet... My guess is that it is still being typed out :P.

Oh and congrats on the new thread :).
