There's gotta be another IS issue in my neck of KZN again ........ 450ms on CW and WA, 290ms with the others :(

Likely the issue is elsewhere as the IPC load is well below even our shaping limits, let alone actual IPC limits. Will PM you the chart...
 
I couldn't even begin to imagine trying to pinpoint stuff like that, does seem to happen a lot with IS backbone though, at least since I moved to snailsville anyway, heh :D
 
Just some customer feedback with regards to service from CW.

So I decided to get some interwebs at home, got Telkom to do the installation and all, migrated my line over to CW and regraded it to 10mbps. The only problem was, Telkom connected my line to the wrong port to start with, Jedi (Stephan) picked it up while he was busy with the line migration, at the same time he got it reported and escalated AND regraded my line from a 4 to 10mbps as per my request (all in one service). At the same time Mikey from CW has played as a big roll in this process by getting me setup with 3 different packages (3 different mind changes/upgrades) and LOTS of advice. Note all this was done through the live chat, the service I have received from these two guys over the past week is unlike anything I have seen before.

Yeah your line has major copper issues. Guys are seeing if they can log an intervention for it, but really there's no guarantees on this sort of thing. Not sure they can repair that loop easily...

think I'm going to have to move house, can't get decent 3G/LTE because we're in a wireless blind-spot, can't get decent ADSL, and the chances of getting fibre here in a hurry are next to bugger all

/wanders off to contact estate agents :p

Lots of DNS issues again today ..... atm SS won't load. Will switch to google dns.
