Portal development is tied to each of these which is why it's not as simple as just deploying a usage portal. We're just about there now for release...

And not a moment too soon. I'm really happy with the service i get from you guys, but that portal is just atrocious. Especially if you come from someone like Afrihost, who has a very nice portal.

So this password I've just been mailed, when does it come into effect? I'm assuming immediately.

In any case, the internet is still churning along. Does it only authenticate the username and password when you reboot your router?

Correct - when your connection is restarted (reboot router or line drop)
 
DJ, does the news server password stay the same or does that change too?

EDIT: Just came from live chat, news server login details will stay unaffected. Thanks for the help Sergeant!

Just spaza'd this now .... emails all done or going in stages over a couple days? Haven't received anything as yet.

EDIT: @CW, is there anyway to check how many people/lines are connected to our account? Used to be able to do it in the old IS portal for Home Capped.

Ah, yours is in my exception list as your original username (with the 0) didn't match with what we picked up. So it didn't send. Can you ask the guys on chat to help you quick?

Support can assist and this is on the roadmap for the portal as well...

It depends on which realm you login with. It's best to just chat with support quickly about it.

What happens is if you've ever previously requested to stop receiving usage emails, your email was in all likelihood detached from your account on our side meaning the system couldn't send you the updated details. If this is the case, we're busy working right now and sending these by SMS as well to the registered cellphone number...

I got sorted thanks man. Good to know how on the ball this all was.
 
Updated and ready to go again.

Kudo's on how well this was handled. Obviously should not have occurred in a perfect world...and I'm pretty damn sure more stringent code review gates will be put in place going forward...but it was communicated up front and addressed in a timely manner.
