Hey all.

I am currently looking for a new ISP. How well do the CW capped accounts run ? ... I will be gaming, streaming and downloading (both ftp and p2p)

On CW Home Capped.

Don't game so can't comment there.

Streaming (YT specifically) is always excellent, so is general web browsing.

Downloads, I get full speed on HTTP during the day.

P2P, I only do during the download period, used to get full line speed, not so much anymore. It's decent though.

Overall I would recommend CW. Other options to check out are Vox, and maybe AH (not 100% convinced their network is fixed).

EDIT: Also, CW don't have data roll over on capped (yet), whereas Vox do. So that's also something to think about.

I'm on business capped, and it works pretty well. My downloads (nntp) are scheduled 12-6 and usually run at line speed (20MB). During the day I normally get line speed as well with whatever I try to do.

Don't stream so can't comment on that.

It's a decent account, but there are other ISPs that offer cheaper monthly fees with much higher caps - it just depends on your appetite for potential issues.

Im loving CW more and more!!! just found out that Capped accounts enter a soft-capped state - which is amaze-balls!!!!

I was looking at VOX as well but some have told me that gaming there isn't very stable.

That sounds good, right now I need reliability (I know no network is 100% stable but I need something that will give me more up than down time)

I have heard about good things from CW and these 2 posts pretty much confirm it.

I have 2 months to get a new ISP so I guess I will apply for a test account :)

i use the 150gig capped account and on local Black Ops 3 servers i get between 30 - 60 ms which is awesome for FPS.

Dont hesitate, go with CW. Just dont expect to call them. always use their Live Chat feature which is amazing!

Nothing on the network that would cause that on our side, so definitely something to talk to support about...

DJ......... just realised that i dont have anymore space for the downloads im running!!!! thats why the download just does not want to finish lol!!!! #FAIL

My support agent actually just submitted this to our support group to add this as a potential problem others should be aware of if downloads fail to complete - insufficient hard-drive space.

:D

Playing Black Ops III on CW sets my NAT to open.

What program is that please?

its utorrent.... if you dont select any files and click the speed tab at the bottom it gives you the speed of all the downloads and if you select a file it will give you the speed graph of the specific torrentScreen Shot 2015-11-24 at 10.33.49 AM.jpg

Ah! Cool. Thought it was a bandwidth monitoring tool.

Looking for a replacement to BitMeter OS II

I use NetWorx.

It does what I want it to do and it can be configured the way you want.
Also has hidden settings for the graph that you can find on the website.

I would recommend it.

2015. Still using uTorrent.

Get Deluge. It's what uTorrent originally started out as before it became an advertising platform with fairly dodgy 3rd party programs it likes to recommend.

I use utorrent server which has no advertising at all! I actually prefer this than the client!
